Instructions
Prep:
  1. Remove the Nilgiri Fish Tikka from the package and place it in a bowl.
  2. Toss and massage the fish to refresh the marinade.
Pan-fry On The Hob (Time: 10 minutes)
  1. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a non-stick frying pan.
  2. Spread out the pieces of fish on the surface of the pan and let them sear on both sides, flipping occasionally until cooked.
Baking in an Oven (Time: 15 - 20 minutes)
  1. Preheat your oven to 180℃.
  2. Spread out the pieces of fish on a baking tray. Place it in the oven for 7-8 minutes, flip, and then cook for a further 7-8 minutes.
  3. Remove the cooked fish on a plate and deglaze the baking tray by sprinkling some water on it and gently scraping the surface. You’ll be left with a thick, shiny sauce that you can use to coat the fish before serving.
Grill Method (Time: 15 - 20 minutes)
  1. Light up your barbecue grill. Place the fish on the hot grills and let it brown on both sides, flipping occasionally. As is the case with most grilled meats, it will turn out slightly drier than the hob method.
Serving Suggestions:
  1. Let the Nilgiri Fish Tikka rest for a few minutes once cooked.
  2. Serve with lemon wedges and onion rings.
Recipe Notes

Garnish suggestions: Fresh lemon, coriander chutney, a dash of freshly prepared traditional Kasundi, try with fresh onion salad.

  1. What if we don’t have a oven for baking?

  2. Ignore the above comment. I found the other method on the top. 🙂
