  1. Take milk and saffron in a small bowl and keep them aside.
  2. In a pan, heat the ghee or oil and add the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Sauté for a minute until the spices become fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the pan. Sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  4. Add the chicken, lamb, or beef to the pan and cook until the meat is browned on all sides.
  5. Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder to the pan. Stir well to coat the meat with the spices.
  6. Add the yoghurt and cream to the pan, and stir well. Add the cashew and almond paste to the pan, and stir well.
  7. Add enough water to the pan to create a thick gravy. Bring the mixture to a boil, and then reduce the heat to low.
  8. Cover the pan and let the dish simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
  9. Add kewra and saffron milk and cook it for another 5 minutes.
  10. Season the dish with salt to taste.
  11. Garnish the dish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
