Instructions
  1. Start by adding the flour within the bowl of a stand mixer (you can also use a hand blender) or a food processor. Add the diced butter and mix at a lower speed until it is roughly combined. You can follow the same process in a bowl as well.
  2. Add water to the flour and chilled butter and knead until the dough is formed. Cover it with cling wrap and keep it in the chiller for 30 minutes.
  3. Get the dough, dust your kitchen table/countertop with some flour and use a rolling pin to shape it into a 1cm thick sheet. Next, place it in your round tart mold. Leave the edges slightly longer, at roughly 1 inch to easily trim them while finishing up with the pie shells.
  4. Next, shape your tart well, make sure that the dough fits in all the corners of the mold. Finally, freeze it for 10 minutes and then bake it in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 10 minutes. Keep a close eye on the oven/OTG so that it does not burn the edges.
  5. Here’s a quick tip, for evenly baked shells it is important to turn the tray in between. In terms of post-baking, it is important to let your tarts be done at room temperature.
  6. Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan, to it, add chopped onions. Cook the onions until they become translucent then add the cut mushrooms and salt. Cook the mushrooms until the mushroom water evaporates and they are caramelized, then add the chopped Smoked Chicken Frankfurters and fry for a few more minutes.
  7. Add the pizza seasoning and saute it for a minute, next add the chopped parsley and turn off the flame. Finally, let your mixture cool down.
  8. Add 50 grams of the mix to your baked pie shells. Ensure that you do not fill it to the rim as the mixture will come out when you bake it.
  9. Bake the filled tarts at 190℃ for 8-9 minutes in a preheated oven. All done! You’ve made yourself scrumptious Chicken Frankfurter and Mushroom pies.
