  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Keep it ready.
  2. Take the Basa fillets and arrange them on a baking tray in only one layer.
  3. Now, sprinkle the fish with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Make sure it is coated well.
  4. Keep the fish aside for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Now, take another bowl and mix oil, red chilli paste, ginger, garlic, and tomato puree. Mix them all well.
  6. This mixture will serve as our marinade.
  7. Now use a brush or your hand to coat the fish with the marinade.
  8. Make sure it is coated well with the marinade.
  9. Bake the fish for 25 minutes till it is thoroughly cooked. Flip it halfway so both sides are evenly cooked.
  10. Serve hot!
