Place a non-stick pan on medium heat and add oil to it. Once the oil is hot enough add cardamoms, cloves, peppercorn and cinnamon to the pan and stir it well. Then, add onions and let the mixture cook until the onions turn golden brown.
Add the mutton chops to the pan and mix it with the spices. Cover the pan with a lid and let the aroma of the spices get absorbed in the mutton chops.
