Instructions
  1. In a pan, heat the oil on medium flame. On another burner, boil a good amount of water. Add the rice to the water to boil.
  2. Add cinnamon, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, black peppercorns and cumin seeds to the oil in the pan. Saute it all till the aroma rises.
  3. Add onion and cook until golden brown.
  4. Add the mutton mince and keep stirring till it turns brown.
  5. Add ginger and garlic paste to the mutton mince, tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder, green chillies, salt, and mint leaves. Please give it a good mix.
  6. Once the rice is boiled, strain it. Add garam masala powder and salt, and mix well. Also, add ¼ cup of fried onion to the mixture.
  7. In a pan, spread olive oil or ghee all over.
  8. Add ½ of the cooked rice to the pan and layer it with some keema curry.
  9. Add the last portion of the rice and sprinkle some fried onion on top.
  10. Add soaked saffron for that great aroma.
  11. Cover the lid with an aluminium foil and let it cook for 45 minutes on a low flame.
  12. Serve hot with spicy gravy or mint chutney.
