Instructions
  1. Wash and clean the mutton. Add it to a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water and salt. Cook it until it is almost cooked.
  2. Take a deep-bottomed pan and heat some oil in it. Add all the whole spices, cumin seeds and red chillies. Sauté until they turn aromatic. Then add the onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add the potatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder. Mix the ingredients. Then add salt and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add ½ a cup of water and cover the pan with the lid. Cook until the potatoes turn soft.
  4. Uncover the pan and add the tamarind to it. Then add the cooked mutton along with the broth. Mix it well. Lower the flame and cook the mutton for 10-12 minutes.
  5. On low flame add coconut milk and let the curry simmer for a few minutes. Garnish with coriander and serve.

Recipe Tip

If tamarind is not available then you can use ½ cup of tomato as a souring agent.
