Instructions
  1. Mix the chilli powder, pepper, ginger paste, garlic paste, honey, jeera, butter, vinegar, and salt into a nice, smooth paste.
  2. Apply the paste all over the whole chicken, under the skin, and into the crevices and gaps. If you have some marinade remaining, make sure to use it to brush the whole chicken while it’s cooking.
  3. Cover the chicken and marinate it for at least two hours. Marinating the chicken overnight in the fridge is always better.
  4. Use a baking dish and add the onions, garlic, lemon slices, and potatoes. Tie the legs of the chicken together with a string and place it on top of the potatoes and other ingredients you’ve just added to the baking dish.
  5. Bake the whole chicken in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 65 minutes. Make sure to brush the chicken well with the remaining marinade and fats from the pan every 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Once the chicken is well roasted, cover it with a foil and leave it to rest for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with the cooked potatoes and onions, and don’t forget to squeeze the lemon and garlic on the top for that extra kick.
