If a fisherman’s day’s catch is in line with buyers’ projections/expectations he makes decent money. But on days it isn’t, he incurs cold storage costs. And might resort to desperate measures such as adding Formalin, to preserve the catch for longer. This has come to the fore only recently with State Govt. authorities raising an alarm for Formalin content in fish. But worry not, dear consumer, for Licious adopts the highest standards of food safety. Licious has procured test kits directly from the CIFT (Central Institute of Fisheries Technologies, Kochi) to ensure safe fish supplies; these kits are yet to be made commercially available.

    Aboslutely brilliant. It is great to to know you have the fomalin testing kits to check the quality. Consuming formalin added fish leads to deadly diseases and adequate measures to be takes to prevent it.

    Appreciate your measures to stop food adultration, which just a huge threat to health. We can see the fish bought from licious doesn’t have the chemical, however, sometimes getting decayed due to lack of preservatives. In such cases, licious had refunded when reported. Thanks for taking the extra care.

  2. Not able to find another thread. So my query may be off-topic. Just want to know the shelf-life of marinades like chicken pickle or chicken spread. A longer shelf life require preservatives and acidity regulator. I want to avoid such additives but yet feel tempted to try those!

I am looking for Murrell streaks which are available at your end but your catch seems to be small fish and therefore the streaks are very small in size and throny…I would prefer a fish of 1.5 kgs size for myself. I bought a couple of times but due to this issue, I have stopped. It will be nice if you can source bigger size Murrell going forward

    I have been an ardent fan of your products as they are available as per our convinent time,neatly packed,cleaned and placed in a package…The source to destination..the product is delivered at its best..
    Once even I had encountered the problem regarding amount being deducted from my account and still didn’t recieve the order inspite of waiting for hours..But when I contacted the above mentioned customer care helpline number..The customer service apology was stronger with a personal touch.My query was sort out..

  12. Today Ordered chicken curry cut large n iy was too slimy. Washed atleast 4 times n yet it remained like that. Anyway cooked it . Is there a reason the meat was like that?? Made me question it’s freshness….
