Ingredients
Marinate:
Whole spices (use whatever you have in in your pantry)
Instructions
  1. Mix the chicken with the ingredients for the marinade and set aside for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Wash and soak the basmati rice for about 20 minutes (30 minutes for regular rice). Drain.
  3. Place the whole spices and the ginger garlic paste in cooking oil. Saute until they start to sizzle
  4. Add in the sliced onions and fry until lightly browned
  5. Add in the marinated chicken pieces and let the whole mixture cook for 10-12 minutes
  6. Add in the coriander and the min leaves and stir until aromatic
  7. Put in the soaked rice and pour the coconut milk and water into the pot
  8. Cover and cook on low flame for 10-15 minutes until the rice is fully cooked
  9. Sprinkle garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, and ghee and stir the mixture thoroughly
