Instructions
  1. Marinate the fish pieces generously with salt and chilli powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and then shallow fry the red mullet fish pieces for a few minutes until half cooked. Keep the fish aside to rest.
  3. Add spices and sauté them for a few seconds.
  4. Add chopped onions and green chillies, and fry until the onions are translucent.
  5. Add chopped tomato pieces and a little water. Again stir well for a few minutes on a low flame. Let this simmer until the tomatoes are soft and the raw smell of the spices dissipates.
  6. Finally, it is time to add the nagarai fish pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, serve hot with rice.
