Instructions
  1. Heat some oil in a clean pan.
  2. Now add ghee to the pan.
  3. Add cloves, cardamom, and ginger/garlic paste. Mix them well and saute.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the spices and cook for a good 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once it starts to turn brown, add chilli powder and coriander powder.
  6. Make a paste out of the fried onions and yoghurt in a blender. Add it to the pan.
  7. Add salt to taste and mix everything together.
  8. Add some garam masala along with a few saffron strands to get a royal touch.
  9. Cover the lid and let it all cook for some time.
  10. Simmer for a good 15 minutes.
  11. Keep on stirring at regular intervals.
  12. For the best experience, serve hot! Don’t forget to garnish your dish with coriander leaves.

Tips:

  • When you add the yoghurt and onion paste, stir continuously to prevent curdling.
  • Avoid adding too much ghee.
  • If the gravy looks too thick, add water to it.
