Pan Fried Chicken Recipe
Instructions
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl except chicken and butter. Flatten the chicken using a meat tenderiser or rolling pin. Add the pounded chicken to the bowl and season well.
  2. Add half a tablespoon of butter in a pan over a medium-high flame and let it melt. Place the seasoned chicken breast on the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown and flip it and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for around 6 minutes until the chicken is cooked.
  3. Rest the chicken for 5 minutes and then cut into slices. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with salad.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use butter and oil both for pan-frying the chicken?

Yes. Using butter and oil together will enhance the flavour of the chicken.

How do I know whether the chicken is cooked if it changes colour to brown quickly?

You can cut the chicken in the middle to check the colour. If pink, it's not yet cooked and if opaque white, then it's cooked.
