How to make fried chicken?

  1. Mix all-purpose flour, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Add in your chicken and make sure every piece is evenly coated.
  3. In a separate bowl add the buttermilk and dip every piece in it. Once coated, dip the chicken back into the dry ingredients evenly coating every side.
  4. Place the coated chicken on a tray and cover it with a clean dishtowel.
  5. Let the flour reach a paste-like consistency.
  6. Till then, keep the pan on a high flame and add vegetable oil to it.
  7. Once hot, cook the chicken on medium flame till it turns golden brown.
  8. Once the chicken turns brown, slow down the flame and cover the lid.
  9. Cook the chicken on a moderate flame till it becomes crispy.
  10. Once fried, use paper towels to soak up the excess oil from the chicken and serve with ketchup or mint chutney.
