  3. Add the green and black cardamoms along with cinnamon, cloves, Kashmiri red chillies and bay leaf. Allow them to splutter.
  4. Add garlic paste and ginger and sauté for a few seconds.

  6. Add ginger and green chillies and continue to cook till the onions turn a golden colour. 
  7. Add chilli powder, curry leaves, and coconut. Saute for a minute.
  8. Add tomatoes and salt and cook till the oil separates. Ensure to stir continuously.
  9. Add the lamb meat and cook for about 5 minutes. 
  10. Add 3 cups of water and bring to a boil. 
  11. Cover the pan and allow to cook in simmer till the meat is tender and the gravy thickens. 
  12. Add fennel powder and give a good stir.
